Re-dedication Service for the NCU
President
A list of delegates headed by Governor
General Professor Kenneth Hall,
Seventh-day Adventist officials from
across the West Indies and hundreds of
family members, colleagues and well
wishers turned out to the worship
service held to honour Dr. Herbert J.
Thompson, for 15 years of outstanding
service as President of Northern
Caribbean University.
The service, held at the NCU
gymnatorium on Saturday (Sabbath) March
25,2006, was held to thank God for
guiding the University’s president over
the last 15 years... |

Official Launch Of NCU Golf Programme
The Northern Caribbean University has
launched a Beginners course in Golf,
which will allow students pursuing
different academic programmes, to choose
golf as an academic elective. The launch
of the course in Golf, is in preparation
for a Bachelors Degree in Business with
an emphasis in Golf Facilities
Management, which is slated to begin at
the institution next year

Graduation 2005
The Northern Caribbean
University (NCU) conferred degrees on
948 students from across six academic
colleges, at its
sixth graduation exercise
since it
became a university, which took place on
Sunday, August 14, 2005.
The institution, which has been growing
leaps and bounds since it received
university status in 1999, had to break
its August 14 graduation ceremony into
two parts, to accommodate the growing
number of graduates, who received
degrees ranging from doctoral to
associates. |

NCU Imagine Cup Team
returns from Japan
They created
history for their country and their
university! For the first time ever,
Jamaica had a team going to the finals
of the world-famous ‘Imagine Cup’
Software Design Competition – a
competition, sponsored by international
computer moguls Microsoft, which pulls
the brightest and best software
designers from across the planet.
Now in
its third year, the Imagine Cup is an
annual global technology competition
designed to show students the real-world
opportunities that are available through
technology. Over the past three years,
there has been tremendous growth in the
number of students participating in the
Imagine Cup and in the number of
countries and universities represented. |
